  • By no means does the title of this review "Wont go back!!" mean that this golf course is not a beauty. Its design, clubhouse, condition are all great. However, there are other great golf courses in th...  more »

  • I played here over the weekend because of the great deal ($50 after 1pm). The course was well manicured. The sand in the bunkers is pretty coarse (almost gravel-like), not what I would expect to find at a course of this caliber but none the less the traps were well maintained. Greens were meh mostly due to people not repairing pitch marks, which personally drives me crazy. If it were up to me I'd punt those who don't fix them off the course because they can turn good greens bad fast as was the case here. Lastly, only 1 beer cart going around on a 25-30 degree Canada Day weekend!?! All in all it was an enjoyable round but it's a little out of the way and there are other options nearer to town for the same/better price point. I usually play here 1-2 times a year when a good deal is available. If it was priced at say $90 on weekends I would definitely visit more often.
  • Great course, greens are a little bumpy from aerations but fun and challenging. Bag drop service is good, free water a bonus. Dress code in effect, collar shirts, no board shorts.
  • Absolutely stunning venue with delicious food. I went for a wedding and it was gorgeous.
  • Top notch course, pro shop could have a little more ladies options, and the food could be a little better. Five star course though.
  • Great course, very happy to see the new ownership. I look forward to the new development coming to the Bear. South Bear Haven!
