Categories: National Parks, Nature & Parks
Get in touch with nature at Parc national du Canada de la Mauricie. During the day, head out on numerous paths for hiking or cross-country skiing. Go canoeing or kayaking on one of the 150 lakes within the park's area (you can rent boats here). However, no motorized boats are allowed within the park in an effort to keep the atmosphere quiet. If you prefer to go fishing, be sure to get a permit ahead of time. Spend a few nights camping among the forests here at sites with fire pits, restrooms, and showers. First follow the main road and stop at the Lake Bouchard: there are a lot of small hikes ranging from 1:30 to 4 h + around from there. There is a bear but personally, I've not seen and priori, they eat instead the "small Switzerland" or Chipmunks... From there, go on Lake Edward for a little picnic and swim if you're brave. Then, continue, and stop at the lookouts to contemplate the vastness of the Park. You will arrive on a Lake (Wapizagonke) whose shape is impressive. You can do 1 h of canoeing on the Lake, get close to île - aux-Pins and eventually a short walk to Waber falls. Finish the day on Trois-Rivières!show original
