Flea Market Shopping
Visit the oldest continuously operating farmers market in Canada at Saint John City Market. The market's first charter dates back to 1785, and the site continues to thrive today with loyal farmers and customers. The building itself is said to have been built by unemployed sailors and is in the Second Empire style of architecture. Farmers, butchers, and fish merchants all have stalls throughout the market; look for tasty local snack foods and drinks as you shop. Put Saint John City Market and other Saint John attractions into our Saint John travel itinerary maker, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • The Saint John City Market is a must see if you are in Saint John! Local crafts are sold and delicious food to eat. I recommend to everyone!
  • City Market is a staple in our city. I highly recommend that you go visit and take your time to absorb all there is to see from each vendor. There are some unique fixtures there and a lot of history.
  • Lots of things to love about the market! So many options, food, art, take-out, toiletries etc. Lots of homemade goodies and all natural items.
  • Great lively spot with a variety of tasty food options. Vibe is very much a market opposed to a farmers market. Location is great next to parks.
  • This City Market is a must-see. It is Canada's oldest and is filled with wonderful food and history. This an excellent spot for great lunches.
