  • Love how people sit on the benches, walk through it to take a breather from work, have lunch, gather for social chatter. Best of all, dogs are always welcome.  more »

  • Nice green gathering spot in the summer for a coffee, a visit or reading alone on a bench or under the trees. Great people watching spot, close to shopping with a beautifully designed historical theme. A nice little getaway in the middle of uptown. Each season brings a different feeling and a different reason to visit may it be the summer sun, the fall colours or holiday lighting. Bring a friend, a group or visit alone and make sure you visit the various plaques and discover the rich history.
  • Try a walk around King's Square, all four sides have something to offer. Facing towards King Street you get a beautiful view of the harbour and just to the left you see the Old City Market. If you turn 90 degrees to your right you have a nice view of the Imperial Theatre, just recently restored to it's original glory, directly behind you or a full 180 degree turn you get a look at the Old No.2 Fire Station Museum and the Old St. John Court House with a incredible spiral stair-case, a piece of history in itself.
  • Beautiful square at top of city market, flooded with pigeons though, used to love spending time in the square... The no feeding pigeons law needs to be enforced. Also miss the music at the band stand. Currently a great place to quietly observe a sea of birds flying and running at you. Pigeons however are quite friendly. Poop is something i highly suggest advoiding
  • Beautiful focal point in the downtown. Lots of places to sit relax and enjoy whatever performances occur
  • A real Gem in the heart of the city, lots of history here and beautiful flowers and trees. the central point is a Bandstand with a fountain in the middle of it. Lots of park benches and a great meeting place since most major city streets pass by this park/
