(4.9/5 based on 40+ reviews on the web)
The Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area is a National Wildlife Area located on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River in the National Capital Region of Quebec established on 28 April 1978. It is critical habitat for the greater snow goose during migration. Flocks of tens of thousands of these birds stop over to feed on the bullrushes in the spring and fall. The tidal marsh was recognized as a wetland of international significance per the Ramsar Convention in 1981, the first North American site to receive that distinction.

  • We went as a family, the geese at cap tourmente. It was with these beautiful fall colors and a person present on the site, allows you to get answers to questions about these magnificent birds.

  • I came to visit the national reserve of cap Tourmente wildlife to perform many walks and my surprise was total when at the information centre, the charming woman explained to me that there are about 30,000 wild geese who were currently on the banks of the St. Lawrence. And well, the show was wonderful as a friendly guide explained to me a lot of very informative information.

  • National reserve which offers 20 km of trails for birding especially. The wild geese make a stop in their migration to warm. We can observe them with glasses and get information by the guards of the reserve.
