  • The national park is a must. We were there a rainy afternoon, have skirted Lake walk and visited the home where an exhibition very well mounted to understand the geological origins of the Lake and the story of the people who built it.

  • We made a short stop at this national park for the first time. We started our tour at the Pavilion of the host where we saw that there was a rally-gps available. The kids like it. We started it but finally gave up pretty quickly. The rally would be better to do by bike or at least it was much too hot (> 30 degrees) to do on foot. We just couldn't wait to have your feet in the Lake! There was still a lot of people on the beach, but a small storm did leave several people. Initially, the water was very quiet, but as a result of the storm, we had very big waves to the delight of children! The beach was very clean and monitor. The beach is still long, so would it be possible to get away a little bit for those who want to be more quiet, but you will be outside the monitored area. From what I could quickly see, this park looks very interesting for lovers of bikes with tens of kms of cycle tracks. It is possible to rent, a repair shop is also available. Beautiful quality of beach, very far from cold water temperature. I questioned me at this time how did several go on the American East Coast to have a beach.

  • Interesting for cyclists and nice for beach lovers. Possibility to rent bikes and boats. Few possibilities for pedestrians.

  • Located around 100 Kms west of the Fjord of Saguenay, National Park of Pointe-Taillon is also an epitome of beauty and unique in its own way. This National Park does not have any mountain but have 20 Kms of bike and walking path. So, it is perfect for bikers. I went with friends last year when we had rented a Huttopia tent. This type of tent has a fully -equipped kitchen with a small refrigerator that can accommodate max 5 people. Each tent is located far from the other in such a way as to provide privacy to everyone. Each tent comes with a fireplace and 4 chairs to seat and relax outside where you could get to listen waves of Lake Saint-Jean. The moment you reach the parking area you would simply say "WOW!!!" by looking at the beautiful beach. On the beach they have couple of volleyball courts and some benches to relax. The only downfall of this park was the location of rents and the facility to use washrooms. Our tent was located 3 Kms away from the main Administration area. The only place you get water is in administration area for using toilets. So, in case of the emergency you either use wash room near to your tent (with no water!!!!) OR walk all the way to the administration area if you need water. However, if you can manage this, it is worth visiting the National Park. Have good time!!!
  • This place is amazing. It is well maintained and great facilities all round. If you bring you own bike you will save quite a bit on bike rentals. You get a free bike or hand pulled trailer for the length of your stay, so moving equipment (and small children) around is a breeze, stay for longer, it's worth it.
  • It was part of my Saint Jean lake tour, and I can say that it was the best part of my trip, it is a wildlife reserve and it is well maintained. Perfect for both, biking and hiking.
  • We stopped here during a circuit around Lac Saint-John. Nice tracks to do some bicycling.
  • Beautiful beach. Really necessary to take advantage of places a little more wild bike rental. Rental offered children cart. Great with kids
