  • Only at the end of the world. It's the feeling that we had. The passage of the Beaver Dam has been the opportunity of laughs. We can stop for a picnic and enjoy the wild landscape as well as traces of moose.

  • For those who wish to reach the top and enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Valley of the Saguenay, there are two possibilities: 1. Since the reception, take the path, direction pic of the hut. It's a pretty tough hike because the trail is very rustic, with roots, rocks, mud and fairly steep slopes. Not to mention the many mosquitoes. Probably too warm weather, you'll stop at the peak of the dog head, which already offers a nice view. 2. There is a road that leads to the Summit from the back of the mountain. From hospitality, takes only 20 to 25 minutes. Arrived at the parking lot of the Summit, starting the trail at the Lake of the pioneers. It's a very laid out trail on gravel or wooden sidewalks, few slopes, several benches to take breaks. Less fit individuals so look it over. Several viewpoints and a cottage with tables is present, allowing to dine without mosquitoes while enjoying a great view.

  • I'm from BC, so it's often hard to find a real hike in the east, but this place did the trick. I've done more difficult hikes, but this was a good workout, and the views were really really gorgeous. W...  more »

  • Very nice national park with lakes and beautiful huts for rent. We rented the hut "Louis Dubuc" which was great. Fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, electric central heating, ambience chimney, canoes and kayaks free to use, just next to a lake....simply perfect. The lady at the national park visitors centre was very friendly and explained everything to us in detail. You can do several hikes in the park and have some great views.
  • The walking trails are well maintained and the views are impressive. In the distance, we can see the fjord and the city of chicoutimi.

  • Superb. Very well signposted hiking trails and a friendly welcome. As a bonus we had the first snow of the year on the way to the top

  • The most beautiful national park of Quebec, without doubt.
