  • Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno, a good place for hiking during summer and fall season. Several trails to choose from easy to intermediate level, and I suggest the blue line around the 2 lakes which...  more »
  • We are late October and today we decided to go hiking in the Park of Oka. Beautiful hike on well-maintained paths... but the indications are pretty succinct... signs should indicate the kilometers and time to market to consider. Otherwise, a very nice Park, nice with the fall colors.

  • The Park National of the Mont-Saint-Bruno before wearing this official name was a park administered by the brothers of St. Gabriel, a religious community that has been active with the culture of over 4000 Apple trees. They were also beekeepers and Maple. In 1925, a superb building dedicated to teaching was erected in the mountain by these brothers but he was savagely demolished in 1990 by good government in place. Heritage has been weaker than the bulldozer! As a resident, we could enjoy our mountain as much as we wanted to and this without paying a penny because we were at home but here that in 2002 the Sépaq charges us of passage. It's a kick to the sense of belonging. In addition, these fees have doubled in time to say. Needless to mention that I find this appalling situation for the citizens of the municipality which should be free to enter the Park at their convenience and at no cost. The Mont St-Bruno was a gem several years ago, it has changed over the years but it is just as beautiful today.
