  • This is one of my favorite local parks, visiting here on a weekly basis. Well kept trails and walkways. Clean and spacious outdoor toilets. Very large parking area. The lookout gives a beautiful 360° view of the wetlands, and the choice between two other trails boasts beautiful scenery and plethora of plants and animals. It is not a pet friendly park however.
  • I stumbled upon this park accidentally going for a drive in the country. Initially came to Bridal Falls area to visit the waterfall, but it was closed. So driving along I stumbled across this park which is a beautiful Wetland area, quite vast with breath taking surrounding mountains of snow, and so happened to have a view of the Bridal Falls. I found that a definite win. There is a fantastic floating walkway that is quite large lengthwise and steady there is a lookout at the end overall the wetlands. There's a few short kilometer walks around this park. No dogs allowed, no fires, no bicycles, no fishing of course, no BBQs. This place has an undercover area, and public restrooms, as well as garbage bins. I find that to find this park was a bit confusing considering the sign turning off to the park was quite abruptly placed just before the road. Causing a fast turn, and unsure if the park was that way. The sign should be placed back a few meters before the road.
  • Cool relatively unknown wetlands directly across the highway from bridal falls. I take my daughter here to see the frogs birds snakes and fish! We have a blast every time!
  • Great park with exceptional views and groomed walking trails. Picnic area is well shaded and washrooms were clean.
  • Beautiful scenery, and a short walk. However you really can't do much else here, nothing is allowed. No dogs , no bikes, no food, no boating, etc etc.

Where to stay in Chilliwack

A mixture of motels and homey bed and breakfasts make up the bulk of accommodations in Chilliwack. Several of these cluster around the main intersection in town, where Young Road and Yale Road meet--stay here to be close to the town's shops and other limited amenities. If you want to be closer to the airport, stay south of the center, along the Trans-Canada Highway. For natural scenery and a tranquil ambiance, you can't beat the bed and breakfasts on the Fraser River, to the west of town.
