Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse, Rocky Harbour
(4.6/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Strikingly white against the blue sky, Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse provides arguably the finest views in the area--especially impressive at sunset. Built in the 19th century, this lighthouse is part of a national park that offers many walking trails, scenic viewpoints, and picnic areas. Drop by the lighthouse keeper's house to see an exhibit of local artifacts, or join an educational presentation to hear folk songs performed and learn about the hardships fishermen endured while living and working in along this rugged coastline. Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Gros Morne National Park Edition.

  • Interesting historical information. Good and relatively easy walk-paths around the lighthouse. Exceptional view of the ocean.
  • Neat little trails and good places to sit and enjoy the sights. The lighthouse keeper's residence is neat too.
  • Great views and a lot of interesting information and knowledgeable staff inside the lighthouse. Would definitely recommend stopping by if in the area and interested in learning about the history of the area.
  • Very well laid out with trails, amazing views, informative plaques, well worth the visit
  • Beautiful spot to visit and watch the sunset. The lighthouse closes early @ 5:30pm
