Steveston Heritage Fishing Village, Richmond

(4.7/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web)
The historic Steveston Heritage Fishing Village was once nicknamed "Salmonopolis" for its 45 canneries and huge salmon production. Now, it’'s a beautiful and picturesque old town, in which one can explore shops peddling an array of goods, from handcrafted trinkets by local artists to fresh produce at the local farmer's market. If you fancy absorbing the rich history of the township, there are plenty of sights to see, including one of the remaining canneries, the shipyard, and the museum. As well all this, you can try a huge range of recreational activities, from bicycle rental to whale-watching out on the open ocean. • You can spend an afternoon strolling through this pretty village and learn a lot about its history and legacy of coastal fishing and fish processing. It's worth the trip! Take the metro (Skytrain) Canada Line to Richmond Brickhouse, then bus to Steveston until the end of the journey. Downtown Vancouver, you'll get there in less than an hour and you can come back by bus and Metro and consider stop Richmond near Aberdeen station to eat a nice Asian meal or shopping in malls really different (Parker Place, Daiso etc).

  • 這是Richmond以前的小漁村,現在轉變成藝術觀光的漁人碼頭,可在此悠哉閒逛購物,感覺上比舊金山坑人的漁人碼頭好,整體感覺加拿大比美國乾淨整潔  more »
  • The fishing wharf blends into the village and so it's easy to take in all the attractions of this area in one trip. Parking can be difficult especially on the weekends so avoid this time if possible. ...  more »
