Regina Floral Conservatory, Regina

4.6
#2 of 7 in Parks in Regina
Bursting with tropical plants, exotic trees, and brilliant blooms September through June, the Conservatory extends a warm welcome to visitors. Floral displays change regularly and feature seasonal offerings set in the tranquility of lush greenery, the therapeutic scent of moist air and the soothing sounds of a gentle waterfall.

The facility was established by the City of Regina during the 1950s as a cluster of three greenhouses to grow plant material to beautify the city. A portion of this operation was later opened to the public so that the people of Regina could enjoy an indoor greenspace.

In 1991, a volunteer organization called the Regina Garden Associates (RGA) was formed to operate a small gift shop at the entrance to the public floral display. In 1999 the City of Regina formed a partnership with the RGA to maintain a 315 square metre greenhouse display, oversee special events and run the gift shop. In 2002 the greenhouse officially became known as the Regina Floral Conservatory.

  • It was a bit hard to find this place, it is defiantly lacking signage for the turn off. Once you do turn off, it’s behind or beside another building, out of site. The green house space was not that la...  more »
  • What a pretty place to visit during the cold winter months! I absolutely loved it there (but I also had awesome company). Congrats to the volunteers on doing such a great job. I loved the holiday them...  more »
  • This is a fabulous reprieve from the bleak cold winters. The greenhouse is colorful, humid and comfortable. I go there to read, have a cup of tea, or just relax. Check it out!!  more »

  • A beautiful, well maintained space, clearly cultivated with lots of love and care by volunteers. Entry is free or by donation with funds supporting the Regina Gardening Club who maintain the conservatory and provide free educational services to the community. I do not recommend walking there like we did as its set back in an industrial area where there are few sidewalks. Its open daily from 1pm-5pm. Counter staff are very friendly! Loved the Cactus display! Keep in mind it is quite small and doesnt take long at all to complete a loop.
  • Super awesome space! Admittance is FREE! There is a donation box so what ever you feel is appropriate is a good tip. Loved being in a nice warm tropical environment in the depths of winter! It was weird having rain drops fall down on me. So warm so humid a great place to escape the cold! Definitely worth checking out!
  • Just beautiful! Always puts me in a good mood.
  • Impressed. In the deep winters; what a pleasant place to be. Would love to live here.
  • Beautiful and smells great! Donation entry too and they're open pretty much every day!
