  • It was already Dim as we steered our 1 campground in Canada on our tour. The road from the highway to the campground is still relative widely by the nature. The Park Ranger, who also tracked us answered the question whether we would get something to eat here in the area only: no restaurants around here - you are in the bush! We made a lap of the course then on along the Lake. Widely distributed sites without electricity / water / dump. We were allowed to make none due to the high risk of whale fire fire. So we went here about the remains of our bread. We could find only small individual Privy (outhouse), no washing or showers. We had everything we needed in our camper and for a night, it was also do

  • Beautiful lake. Affordable camping, and tons of spots to choose from. Nicola lake is clean, and big enough to boat on. Super short and pretty drive from Merritt.
  • Nice spot to camp/picnic for families.
  • The campground is spread out so sites are not on top of each other. Most sites have a view of Nicola Lake. There is a good trail system that not only follows the lake shore but also goes up the hillside above the campground. The day use area has a nice play area and swim beach for the kids.
  • This park is located off Hwy 5A just north of Merritt BC. After leaving hwy 5A you will drive along a lake side road to the park. The access road is paved, two-laned, and in good condition. The lake and park are located in ranch lands with limited trees on surrounding hills. There is parking at the beach with room for RV’s. The beach is grassy with picnic tables and a pebble shoreline plus a large sandy area with covered picnic tables to provide relief from the sun. The campsite is located along the lakeshore and it is an easy walk to the beach. This is hot, dry country in the summer. There are no services in the campsites and generator hours are limited. Flush toilets and drinking water are available. The camp store has ice and other items available.
  • Not a ton of trees between sites but lots of space so still feels private enough. Easy beach access. We visited in shoulder season... Very quiet and peaceful.
