  • a nice place for a walk, picnic or just to sit down and relax. The waterfalls are beautiful and you can see some people fishing close to them, walk down the stairs right at the entrance and keep going...  more »
  • More than 20 years I come regularly in the Quebec City area but I've never been to this place, not having never heard to date. There is a mistake in the name of the location, it's the "Park of the falls - de - la - Chaudière". From Ste - Foy, you cross the bridge Pierre-Laporte (South direction) and you follow the signs to access the Park, immediately out of the bridge, the path is well signposted. I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this site, which is free, also. I preferred to come to these falls rather than to the Montmorency falls, tourist site which is much busier and paying, but that's my opinion. Several trails hiking, breathtaking views very near the falls. A very safe suspension bridge allows us to access the other side of the shore. Parking is also free. There is one on each side of the river. There is a cottage on the site but it was closed during the period where I went. Too bad, there is no accessible washroom but when the cottage is open, we can have access. There are a few picnic tables. A lot of people walking their dogs on a leash. All in all, I enjoyed my discovery of this enchanting site.

  • Quite and serene park to explore nature with a waterfall to compliment it's beauty. Trails well marked, free parking, and a bridge to cross the river with spectacular scenic views. Must take a quick stop as it is just one exit to autoroute 20.
  • Beautiful place to go. Before cross the bridge to Quebec City, better make a stop there. Of course it can not compare with Niagara Falls, but it is really a fantastic place to go.
  • So amazing waterfall with a wonderful view. You shoud also visit the cable bridge.
  • We went here beginning of Summer, the water smells real bad. I loved the suspension bridge
  • Bring your family. Beautiful views for enjoying.
