A stroll along the wide boardwalk of Terrasse Dufferin brings to light the area's colonial cannons, the grand architecture of Chateaux Forntenac, and views of the St. Lawrence River. Artists and performers frequent this terrace in summer with entertainment, and it's a good place to find and souvenirs. Watch for a revealed archeological site that offers glimpses of the excavated remains of the fort beneath. Take the guesswork out of planning a Quebec City vacation by using our trip itinerary maker.

  • So happy! Lovely place! Although I didn't see many animals when I was on the train, I still have a lot of photo memories with my love.
  • Gotta do it! A brilliant path with gorgeous views. A can’t miss spot if you visit Quebec City. And it’s free!
  • I liked visiting the beautiful and wonderful terrace because this terrace has a restaurant on this, i loved also walking on that, when i return here in a winter, i will try the big slide at the end of the terrace, this place has some sculptures of cannons and this place is very clean. A must to visit when traveling to this city.
  • If you are in Old Quebec you have to walk along here. So beautiful with a nice breeze from the water.
  • A wonderful area for great sites in Quebec City, and you can even get a nice Gelato!
