Must see · State Park · Waterfall
Look down over Quebec's highest cascade from atop a suspension bridge at Parc de la Chute-Montmorency. Plunging from a height of 83 m (272 ft), the falls stand 30 m (98 ft) taller than the more famous Niagara Falls. During the colder months, the falls feature a cone of ice known as the Sugar Loaf at their base. Ride a zipline or walk along a clifftop trail in the surrounding park; feel free to bring food with you for a picnic. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Quebec City holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Breathtaking. I think it was the best thing about my trip to Quebec. A few different options for skill level of hiking through, but wherever you were along the way, there were beautiful views and...  more »
  • The cable car wasn't running but signs led us to a parking lot at the top of the falls which was a great place to start exploring the gardens and the views of the falls.  more »
  • The park and the falls are great. BUT I have given it a bad review because people don't follow the rules inside the park regarding COVID. In some places it is mandatory to wear a mask (There are...  more »

  • I really appreciated my great experience here because your park is well maintained and clean, i loved mostly, when i went here, it's free, also this park has very good views of the falls, the twin cities, the island, etc. and this park has play structures for childrens. My dislike, i went here, it's little cold outside.
  • Awesome park. It’s a shame the cable cars and zip line were closed because of COVID but still worth stopping by, going for a leisurely walk and admiring the falls
  • Price is far Nice place to relax and get sunburned 😂😂😂 I recommend and we will be going back 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
  • I loved this hike, just as spectacular at the top, on the suspension bridge or by the gondolas, as at the bottom of the stairs to water it. Attraction to be seen winter and summer. A whole staircase !!! And bravo to all these joggers who face it endlessly!
  • Beautiful place, but unfortunately spoiled by a staff of the sepaq. I was waiting for my partner at the entrance to the stairs, when a sepac staff staunched me (I think he thought I was going down the stairs, because there was a sense). Pity
