  • We recently visited on a weekday morning and there were many, very well behaved, school groups. This museum is clever; it can interest children as well as adults. It has some of the best children's ex...  read more »
  • If you want to visit, plan at least 3 hours before you, because the expos are very comprehensive. Novelty of the Museum, an exhibition in virtual reality within 10 museums around the world equipped glasses and helmet, a true moment of escape. Not to be missed under any circumstances. Plus it's free!

  • I relied on a few mixed reviews that I've read here and it's a shame because the Museum is excellent. 2:30 is not enough if we want to see all of the exhibits because they are very interesting and we see not the time pass. Unfortunately the Museum closes early - at 17: 00.

  • Actually really really like it. Not what you would expect. A different museum. 25x la revolte! was a great exhibition of revolution large and small around the world. Inuit part was good. Nanotechnology exhibit even relates to butterfly colors! Nicely done.
  • A great museum to fill an afternoon in Quebec City. Located in Old Quebec it has lovely surroundings with a cafe that had a lovely looking menu (we'd already eaten so gave it a miss). The exhibits were all very interesting, creative and well displayed and they have some interactive children friendly areas that sound good.
  • When it was the museum of civilization that had a fantastic exhibit upstairs. It was the coolest thing my kids loved it and so did we. That exhibit has been shut down and that entire section is being renovated..very disappointed. I would skip this altogether now there isn't much of interest, a Napoleon exhibit which is ok but a little dry, a gold rush exhibit which is ok and an exhibit of horse drawn carriages and sleds...yawn.
  • The museum itself is very nice, but we are bummed out that the discovery zone for kids is blocked off for a school tour when we were there! I mean, the main reason we went there is for the discovery zone. How can the museum deny us that access for a private event? At least tell us ahead of us. Very disappointed and almost asked for our money back. But our little boy had fun at the colorful leather stools area, so we let it go.
  • Had nice exhibits but there were four empty when we went. Will have more by the end of June. Atmosphere was super quiet, not very busy either. Kind of lulled us to sleep. Does not compare to others in Ottawa or Toronto.
