4.6
#10 of 30 in Historic Sites in Quebec City
Visit Morrin Centre, a multifunctional cultural facility. Set in a building that once served as a jail, the center includes exhibits related to the history of the building, and also acts as home to the Literary and Historical Society of Quebec. As well as showcasing the building's various uses over time, the center now acts as a museum of the city's English-speaking community. Is a tour of classic Museum if it isn't that going from prison to the library visit is very interesting (was it related to our really passionate guide!) and we understand the city of Québec very well in family

The Morrin Centre is a place to visit. I would like to thank Sarah for adding visual details and humor to our tour. She made it a wonderful experience to remember. Thank you Sarah. Also, remember to take the time to visit the library, enjoy the historical books and quiet time.

A must place to visit during a vacation in Quebec city. I don't know why this place isn't better known but i think it's a shame.. Be sure to take a guided tour and stop by the library after your visit, it's just fabulous.

Where to stay in Quebec City

Most accommodations cluster on the west side of the St. Lawrence River, with the city's split-level old town offering the widest range of options and best access to top attractions. Stay in the upper town to be close to the castle and enjoy views over the river. What the lower town lacks in panoramas, it makes up for in historic charm and access to riverside cafes and restaurants. If you want a less-touristy experience, consider the up-and-coming neighborhood of St. Roch, whose cafes, bars, restaurants, and artistic spaces make it an alternative traveler's paradise.
