Montmorency Falls Park (Parc de la Chute-Montmorency), Quebec City
Categories: State Parks, Nature & Parks
Look down over Quebec's highest cascade from atop a suspension bridge at Montmorency Falls Park (Parc de la Chute-Montmorency). Plunging from a height of 83 m (272 ft), the falls stand 30 m (98 ft) taller than the more famous Niagara Falls. During the colder months, the falls feature a cone of ice known as the Sugar Loaf at their base. Ride a zipline or walk along a clifftop trail in the surrounding park; feel free to bring food with you for a picnic. Montmorency Falls Park (Parc de la Chute-Montmorency) is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Quebec City Edition.

Beautiful, powerful waterfall. The bridge across the top is amazing. Lots of trails to hike along both sides. Our host at the B&B said it's a 2-3 hour hike if you want to walk all the way around. We haven't had a chance to try but it would be fun. Within walking distance of Le Royal Champetre where we stayed.
Hi, I was this year on holidays in Quebec also the city...and than it is a must have to visit the Montmorency-Fall i have to say 😄👍 We parked at the parking place there high where we had to pay 10$ to parking there. (I think it was a fair price for tge location) You have there two options to buy, first just to buy that you can parking ther or second that you can drive with the cable car down and up for I think it was 40$ for the whole family or so... !!But definitely you shouldn't buy this!! In the cable car you don't have a really good view it is better if you walk down the stairs there and walk over the bridge but it isn't it worth to drive with the cable car 😂😂 so we also didn't drive with it and we could also make fantastic photos there👍😉 So shortly, it is a must have sight in Quebec but you shouldn't drive with the cable car because you have with it a very bad view on the falls!😉
The best waterfalls I have seen in Canada. I have seen Niagara Falls and it is stunning but very obstructed by the city buildings. The Montmorency Falls are located in a very pleasurable and surrounded by the nature area. There are few observing points from any side of the falls and amazing bridge which prolonged over the falls. Recommend.
They claim this falls is taller than Niagara Falls. It was a very powerful water fall. You can take a skyline to visit the top. The volume of water was even scary. There is a gift shop. I loved it. I am glad I visited.
Beautiful falls! Free parking after a certain time in the top car park. This place is a much visit for anyone staying in Quebec City. It's rare you can walk directly over a waterfall but these offer that experience without charge. Great walks around the area and amazing views.
