State Park Nature / Park
Look down over Quebec's highest cascade from atop a suspension bridge at Montmorency Falls Park (Parc de la Chute-Montmorency). Plunging from a height of 83 m (272 ft), the falls stand 30 m (98 ft) taller than the more famous Niagara Falls. During the colder months, the falls feature a cone of ice known as the Sugar Loaf at their base. Ride a zipline or walk along a clifftop trail in the surrounding park; feel free to bring food with you for a picnic. Montmorency Falls Park (Parc de la Chute-Montmorency) is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Quebec City Edition.

  • It was Wednesday morning and our friend J drove us here from the city. What a little gem of a place. It was very well organised, staff seemed friendly and the cable car ride was short and enjoyable. T...  more »
  • It's a must in the summer with a nice walk. In the winter it is just as gorgeous and you can actually go snowshoeing behind the falls which is absolutely gorgeous!!!!  more »
  • Lovely to see. Tip is don't get stung for the parking. Go up the road a few hundred yards and park for free. Otherwise was a great place.  more »

  • A quick bus tour stop at the falls so unfortunately I didn't have time to go up to the lookout points or make use of the cable car. Lovely place though.
  • The tallest waterfall in Canada! The view from the bottom is spectacular but from the top is still better. Pay attention to the second (or third) lookout. It has food for birds. Just wait a little and watch they come to feed. Keep your camera ready because they are fast. Make sure to cross the top bridge and explore everything there. There are so many beautiful views. And don't just stare at the falls. Check the bridge over the river and the city of Quebec too.
  • Great Place to visit , Walk around the Falls , I was here in all seasons and still by far, the best place to visit even in the evenings as well. If you haven't got a chance to visit , this is the place. I would suggest this to everyone. Here some Pictures
  • Tallest waterfalls in Quebec. Great views, fun small hike. View from bottom of the waterfall or top of the bridge is incredible.
  • You can approach the falls by two way: the upper part where a bridge cross the stream and the lower part where the fallen water meets St. Laurent river. They are little bit far from each other, taking about 10 mins by car. (There is a long stair, but closed during winter) But I recommend to go watch the falls at both places. When you go through the snowfield at the lower part to get closer to the falls, beware that the ice easily cracks with steps and your whole legs get wet. Also the cable car seemed to run between the both part, though I couldn't ride it because it was too late.
