(300+ reviews on the web)
Monument
Venture through La Promenade Samuel-De Champlain, a vast public walkway surrounded by a lush natural landscape and paths and facilities of modern design. Originally this area was one of the most degraded areas of the river, but today it serves as a popular spot for locals and tourists to walk, cycle, play sports, observe contemporary art, and experience the outdoors. The promenade is divided into four thematic stations--Station Cageux, Sports Station, Quays Station, and Wooded Tequenonday--all offer a unique atmosphere. Play soccer in one of the modern facilities, observe historic Native American archaeological remains, or marvel at pine trees nearly 30 m (98 ft) high. • The Champlain promenade, in its particular design made for the commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the city, is a nice place. It is possible to walk on foot, its scope to make bicycle, along the St. Lawrence River. A stop at the station of the Cajeux for a drink and climb on the belvedere, to observe the fishermen, will be appreciated. Its West end is today connected to the trail of strikes (inaccessible to the fact of the 400 cyclists and steps of stairs in the Woods), itself connected to the trail in the Park of the Jacques-Cartier Beach up to the marina of Cap-Rouge. Therefore, a 22 km course between Cap-Rouge and the old port of Quebec.

  • Want something of different? This walk along the beautiful St. Lawrence River you will discover throughout his career of more than 7 kilometers that extends from Place Royale until the Quebec bridge, different stations consisting of fountains, chairs, sculptures, and even fixtures as many gifts received from several countries during celebrations of the 400th anniversary of Quebec City. Ideal bike (whatever windy at times!), the walk can also be done on foot but plan a picnic and water! There are several places to rest (benches, tables in picnic and same chairs!). Unless you're a great Walker, may plan a return by taxi if you are walking!

  • Nice promenade along the St-Lawrence River. There's bike and walking paths with benchs and picnic tables.
  • One of the best promenade! It is a all day to do especially if you and/or your kids have a bike or else.
  • Great looking place, lots of people just walking along the Saint Lawrence river. Highly recommended if you just want to have a nice time outside.
  • A great walkway to heavens!
  • Just perfect
