(4.4/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web)
Stroll through Battlefields Park (Parc des Champs-de-Bataille), a historical urban national park and green lung of Quebec City. Established as a park in 1908, the area contains the Plains of Abraham--site of a famous 1759 battle between British and French forces. The British victory proved decisive for the subsequent development of the nation. View numerous pieces of artillery sprawled across the park and admire the Martello towers, which the British built to defend the city against an American siege.
