  • I visited barley days brewery for the first time this summer . The beer tasting was a great way to decide what beer to buy.
  • We went with another couple. It was a beautiful sunny day. The guys went in a for a tasting while the ladies sipped a cold beverage on the patio and listened to live music. The tasting was very inexpe...  read more »
  • We stopped by for my friends birthday. Three of us split a flight and we loved all four of the beers! Great job and keep up the good work!
  • Good beer and a nice place to stop. The staff was passionate about their craft. There really isn't a place to sit down inside but the patio is nice.
  • After having a very pleasant visit while in PEC last fall, we decided to bring some friends to Barley Days. I read on here that ownership might have changed in the time since -- which would explain a lot. The staff member whom "greeted" us seemed annoyed when we walked in the door... apparently they were closing in 10 minutes -- we had traveled out of our way after checking the website which indicated they would be open for another hour. The employee couldn't care less. We offered to send a comment in ourselves after he clearly wasn't concerned about the mistake but were told not to bother since "no one will see it". We managed to down a couple samples before we were rushed out the door. Unfortunately, the experience we had flies in the face of the friendly, welcoming reception we've become accustom to on our trips to the County. We will definitely not be returning.
  • The Cherry Porter and the Wind and Sail are fairly tasty. A recent change in ownership has led to a significant increase in price. Several of their offerings are now only sold by the bottle. On the one hand, I like supporting local craft beer and Barley Days was the first major offering of it in the county. On the other hand I don't enjoy their products enough to go out of my way for it.
  • One of my fav places in the county. Great staff...awesome beer and a new patio for summer!
  • Barley days is worth the stop, no fuss no muss just a chance to sample a wide range a local fare. Sampled the 3 horse hitch "Schwarzbier" beer, excellent once it gets some air!. Found it bitter and heavy at first taste, but let it sit for a moment and wow. I have found that some of the pure German style brews need that moment for the flavors to balance, but to cut to the chase, give it a breath and enjoy. On the other hand sampled the harvest gold, I'd skip it.
