  • Beautiful beach, especially when the tide is out and you can walk for hours if you choose. Nice wooded walking/biking trail that parallels the shore as well.  more »
  • Whether it is low or high tide this beach provides an awesome view, pleasant walking or just a great place to sit and watch the world go by. Now the seawall has been removed and the area made to be mo...  more »
  • Gorgeous beach - very quiet and clean when we visited in April. Wear shoes over the rocky/gravel parts of the beach as it's covered in coral. Nice woodlands to walk through as well.  more »

  • Vancouver Island's most popular parks is definitively on the list when thinking about camping. Open all-year long the park has many things to offer including private campsites, large beach, kid friendly and walking distance to so many great things in the area. Make sure you get reservations in the summer as it can fill up.
  • Use the picnic shelter which had a sink. Lots of outhouses and garbages and recycling. Kid's playground equipment by the picnic area and beach. Lots of parking. Can reserve picnic area online.
  • Wonderful campground. Too bad it's not fully operational in the winter. If it was, it would likely attract more visitors during winter months.
  • Many, many, many years of fun spent here as a kid. Wonderful place to go to splash around, perhaps fly kites.
  • Excellent place to go camping with even young kids (we took a 1 year old). The beach is something special, showers are available, and there are a couple of playgrounds around. The park managers were friendly and efficient... a great experience. We'll definitely go back.
