  • Despite a little bit of rain we decided to check out the park. The paths were well maintained and the views of the falls were spectacular. Would highly recommend.  more »
  • Just a few minutes off Highway 4 and well worth a visit. Lots of places to sit down and take in the forest views and sounds of the ranging river below.  more »
  • Upon reading other reviews we thought this was a quick out of the car to the falls and back. There is so much more than that if you truly want to see the falls. You can leave your car and walk to the ...  more »

  • The falls has two sections. Upper and lower. I went to the lower one. It was a 2 min walk down to the falls. Its beautiful!
  • Easy hiking trails with nice views, and about 100 well-maintained campsites. We stayed here while visiting the big trees at Cathedral Grove, and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a spot to camp not far from there.
  • Spacious quiet sites. Beautiful location. Nice hiking trails. Spectacular falls. Easy in and out.
  • Classic BC parks. Beautiful area and falls. Good walking paths around with numerous bridges. Lack of funding shows in spots.
  • Nice campsites. Well-maintained and reasonably private spots. Gorgeous scenery and hiking trails as well as some good Geocaches

Where to stay in Parksville

Most accommodations in the town center look over the Strait of Georgia. Here, along Island Highway, you'll find primarily chain hotels, resorts, and motels offering clean and comfortable lodgings within walking distance of the town's amenities. If you want to enjoy the region's pristine nature, you can find more interesting accommodations just east down the highway, around the border of Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park. Beach resorts with swimming pools, quaint holiday cottages, and secluded forest retreats provide easy access to both the beach and the national park.
