#1 of 33 in Parks in Grey County
No matter what season of the year, Inglis Falls enchants visitors with its stunning 18 m (26 ft) cascade. Take a tour around the waterfall and capture the elements on your camera while the mist of the roaring water surrounds you. Look from several other points and platforms for great vistas. While there, check out the remains of the burnt down grist mill and nearby geological pits and enjoy a picnic in the picnic facilities. A free parking lot and restrooms are nearby. Inglis Falls is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Owen Sound Edition.

  • We enjoyed learning about the history of this interesting place. The tremendous volume of water going over the escarpment and the very interesting geology, made for some great photographs.  more »
  • One of the best places to go and just watch the water go over the falls. U can go on all the hiking trails and explore. This waterfall is a must see well here in the city. Just go out and enjoy.  more »
  • The view is worth the detour and if there is time the walk in the Woods is very popular. For better parking is to have an app on his cell phone. If we continue the way we reach d, other very beautiful places.

  • A beautiful hike not too far from blue mountain. Tons of fairly cheap parking right by the falls and a nice long winding trail through the nearby woods. Easy flat hike and the normal route is around 2km. Took a great break from the blue mountain village and went for the perfect clear your mind hike here. When you're done there is an amazing Greek diner/restaurant in Owen Sound that's a 5 minute drive away. The couple that runs it are the perfect people to meet after a nice long walk.
  • Very nice place to visit and picturesque especially without the sun out. There is great hiking to get all sorts of views of the falls. To my knowledge you cannot go all the way down but I didn't try. The track seems to take you into a forest farther from the falls and I didn't see anyone at the bottom, but there are plenty of nice views to hike to. Bring a nice camera if you have one, besides a cell phone, but that can work too.
  • While the signage to this location is small and hard to notice, once you are there it is beautiful with sounds of running water greeting you as soon as you open your car door. Snow fallen trails were marked well. The quiet of the wooded trails simply added to the beauty of the area. Public washrooms were not open in the winter so manage your trip accordingly.
  • Great view, great pictures. This is a place to check out while in and around Owen Sound. Parking fills up quickly during the spring melt and autumn leaves tours. Bathrooms are inconsistent. Last few times I have been they have been locked. Careful at night, rocks can be slippery and the young adults like to leave the remnants of their forays into adulthood strewn about the parking lot.
  • Inglis Falls is a gorgeous 4-season conservation area for the whole family. Falls aside, there are loop trails to walk and for the more adventurous, a trail to take you all the way to Harrison Park. One for your list of places to visit in the Owen Sound area!
