  • The park has a fairly large beach area which is lifeguarded during the summer. There is a canteen and ice cream stand and I think they still have latin music later in the day on the weekends in the su...  more »
  • Had a barbecue there with the family. Went down to the volleyball courts and picked up a game of beach volleyball. Easy to get to, parking was ok. Great place in the summertime.
  • Definitely pure fun in the sun! From a great beach, to volleyball, swimming, stand up paddle boarding, canoeing - you name it, you can do it here! I came with a few friends for a nice day at the beach...  more »

  • Great place! I love the hill and the view at night there is just incredible. Not very much garbage and a well maintained area, however the beach lies on a small body of water and faces directly to a wall of trees. Not terribly exciting.
  • DISTURBING/TERRIFYING experience at this Mooney's Bay place, my family and Jamaican friends, attended the Jamaican Day Festival. Later on, my boyfriend and I went out to the bathroom right beside the little bar/restaurant. As I was waiting for him, I see this group, (around 5 people, male and female), coming out of the men's washroom, turning on and off the light, then completely shut, they closed a big metal door (wich you have to pull down, like a garage door). I quickly and politely approached them and let them know that my boyfriend was still in there. Laughing and really rude, the key holder said "I know but he didn't want to listen". In my mind it didn't make sense knowing my boyfriend isn't a trouble maker. I told him to open the door. At this point my boyfriend has been locked up in the bathroom in completely darkness. The arrogant employe, started to close a second door with a lock and I couldn't believe it! Then a guy from this group said "Yeah man that's f*** up open the door". I don't know how but my boyfriend managed to find his way in complete darkness, from the bathroom to the hallway leading to the big metal door (he got his fingers stuck really bad on something, before figuring out how to open this "garage type door", luckily he didn't brake any bones). He came out and extremely angry he asks how funny this was to them. Nobody responded a single word! We then walk away, back to the festival to get our people, the night was completely ruined. I can't believe how this type of people work at a public park and beach for all ages! This is UNACCEPTABLE and has to change! If there's security cameras, he could be identified, if not, the key holder was a young male, brown / tanned skin, Arab or Indian looking. I HIGHLY recommend not going alone to their bathroom, and do not fully trust some of their staff.
  • Beautiful park along the bath 4. There's beach space, beach volleyball, a snack shack and more
  • Ottawa has great parks. Most are used to host some of the different festivals that go on during the year. Mooney's Bay is one. Lots of places to picnic and BBQ
  • Hill to toboggan down in the winter, beach in the summer and gentle trails for the fall. All it needs are some tulip beds for the spring and it would be the ultimate year-round Canadian park.
