  • Stunning museum and best in Ottawa, in my humble opinion. The exhibitions are incredible, the artwork and the details to make each one look as realistic as possible really do make the $15 entry worthwhile. The insects aren't stuffed, just a fair warning if you're not into seeing live roaches and tarantulas. You'll need 2-3hrs to see it all without rushing through, if you have kids then more than 3hrs since there are plenty of interactive games for them along the way. I saw the whole thing twice over because it was just that incredible! There's even a picnic area inside if you prefer to bring your own food. Loved it all, the building alone is a real sight!
  • The most fun I have ever had a museum! We spent about 4 hours walking through the whole place and may not have seen everything. Theres a big focus on the science behind the exhibits (earth's formation in the space exhibit, natural selection's role in adaptions in the animal exhibits) which I loved. It's a great place for people of all ages to learn and see some terrific things!
  • I visited with a parent after not being there for several years. The exhibits are beautiful, fun and interactive. I'm definitely going to stop by again and really take my time, it's probably going to take at least a few more visits to fully appreciate it.
  • Along with the Canadian War Museum, the Canadian Museum of Nature is probably the best in Canada's gorgeous capital. When I visited last autumn, there was a very interesting exhibition about dinosaurs where one could touch artificial and authentic bones, enjoy visually stunning clips and even watch a highly informative documentary about dinosaurs. In addition to this, the building's architecture is very elegant and you will get a stunning view of Ottawa when you reach the higher levels.
  • A definite must for those visiting Ottawa. The displays are great, and the architecture of museum adds to the experience. The museum is free on Thursdays if I'm correct. The museum is worth going back to as they have certain sections that house temporary exhibits.
