  • I went to Bad Axe for my brother's birthday and it was an amazing night. The coaches are super nice and show you the best techniques for throwing. You do different games either as teams or solo. I wil...  read more »
  • Great evening. Fun activity that allows you to socialize with friends at the same time. Strocker did a great job showing us what to do and guiding us through the evening. Definitely an activity to do ...  read more »
  • What a great idea. Always looking for something different to do? Well look no further. Some friends and I checked it out for a surprise b-day. I was a little surprised by how much fun we had. The only...  read more »
  • I organized a bachelorette party at Bad Axe and the 10 girls who were able to make it had an amazing experience. The only downside is that it happened to be a super hot day and the facility does not have AC. We were extremely exhausted by the end that most of the girls didn't want to toss anymore. I would recommend this place to everyone who is interested but I suggest thinking about the month you go in. It would be great if Bad Axe was in an air conditioned facility. I would definitely go back but would prefer to go during the cooler months EVEN winter since throwing axes is a lot harder than it looks and you definitely work up a sweat.
  • Bad Axe Throwing hosted us for an evening and it was so much fun! We were intimidated at first, but the coaches were great and so helpful. We were able to bring our own food and drinks to enjoy in between practicing and playing games. We would definitely recommend this for a group activity; something different and really fun!
  • EDIT 2: Hahaha wow my bad, I actually was at Rage Academy the whole time, not Bad Axe. Now to the more pressing matter. First of all I never bumped it from 1 to 2 star. It was always at 2. Secondly the gaming graffiti and whatever you guys added on the back wall wasn't there when I went. Third, what's with the accusation that I'm a competitor? There aren't very many alternatives in Ottawa and if people wanted an activity that wasn't axe throwing I would suggest going to Archery Tag or Escape Manor. I guess I must be working for them as well huh? I simply enjoyed one more than the other. Fourth Don't try and label me as a fake person just because your staff aren't smart enough to figure out from your records who I am. Lastly as I said I had a slow day at the office and decided to write a ton of reviews. It doesn't take half a brain to think of a few sentences about your experience. Get over yourself. EDIT: The staff don't clearly do their research because they claim that I was never at either of their locations even though I had never stated when I went. I had gone in January to the Ottawa location and as far as I can tell they have just added more art/graffiti to the walls to give it a less dungeon-y look. And sorry to burst your bubble but I am not a direct competitor at all. My 41 reviews in one day was because I was bored at the office during lunch and Google was asking about what I thought about the places I've been in the past 6 months so I spent my hour writing reviews. I give more long and elongated reviews to pricier places because I don't want people to drop $40 and have a bad time. Good luck trying to find me on your records because my name here may or may not be fake ;) I enjoyed the one in Montreal but the Ottawa location I wasn't a fan of. It was relatively small and I felt like I was in a dungeon type setting. Maybe it was just the one incident but I didn't like how I had to wait in line behind 8+ people just to throw the axe once. Wasn't able to find a comfortable rhythm all night until the session ended and they let us free throw for as long as we wanted. So overall I would recommend going to a different location or go to BATL for a better experience.
  • I organized a surprise birthday party for my husband at Bad Axe last Friday. They were able to accommodate us even though I left everything to the last minute, which I was very thankful for. I'm sure it seemed like I had been planning it for weeks! We were a group of 10 which worked perfectly for the games. Our instructor was alot of fun and got along great with our group. She really customized our experience to make sure we all enjoyed ourselves - our night included multiple different team games, learning some trick throws, and cutting a birthday cake with an axe! I loved that the experience was just as enjoyable for the women as it was the men - this is definitely something that everyone can enjoy! I have already recommended Bad Axe to a bunch of friends, and would definitely go back!
  • I booked a group of 16 of us for my husband's birthday and we had an amazing time!! They took the time to show us how to throw the axes and taught us some trick shots. We also played a few competitive games. It was nice that we were able to brig our own food and drinks as well. I would highly recommend this for a night out!
