  • This place is amazing for kids, totally worth a stop and reasonably priced. Kids get to handle some creatures and will on slower days get 1 on 1 interpretation. There is a nice trail to walk after you...  more »
  • The exterior doesn't do justice to the quality of species they have. The staff is very knowledgeable and happy to answer all your questions.A good rainy day educational outing for kids.  more »

  • Absolutely fantastic! Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable! My daughter was able to hold so many reptiles she was in her glory! We will drive the nearly 5 hours to go back again this year.
  • It was alright, it was cool that we could touch reptiles and animals but the trails were closed yet the admission was the same price which was disappointing and we left feeling a little ripped off.
  • Staff is very friendly. Great experience for kids of all ages. Walking trail is a nice family walk (wear bug spray!) Lots of reptiles to look at inside. Special room to sit and hold the animals. Felt very relaxed.
  • Scales Nature Park was fantastic and provided a fun and educational experience for all ages. A friendly staff member took us on a tour of the facility and provided us with lots of information on the various native reptiles and amphibians of Canada. In addition, we were able to handle many of the animals at the nature park. The experience was unlike any I have had at other parks or zoos, and I would fully recommend checking out Scales Nature Park.
  • totally amazing...id never seen a turtle before or touched a snake...this place gave me the chance to hold several different species of snakes as well as see loads of turtles and i learnt so much. definitely worth a visit or 2!
