It's All About the Dirt.

Road 13, launched in 2008, was previously named Golden Mile Cellars, and has been owned by Pam and Mick Luckhurst since 2003. The wines express the special character of the South Okanagan’s renowned Golden Mile Bench. Their motto, “it’s all about the dirt” reflects their belief that great wines start in the vineyard.

  • Wow our best experience of the week. Visited this winery based on the suggestions of sommeliers from other vineyards. From the moment we arrived the staff was pleasant interactive and informative. We enjoyed the little european flare. After trying their recommended tastings we were offered to taste their deeper red's in the stunning new glass tasting room. The views were great and wine was even better. We met most of the staff as we remained there for nearly two hours. We were asked to sample upcoming vintages and provide feedback. We got to taste first juice samples and talk with them. All this without a single commitment from us to this point. They also suggested local wineries to our tastes , made calls to see if vintages were still available and provided us discount coupons. We ended up purchasing a half case and joined the wine club afterwards. We are looking forward to stopping in on our next trip and taking the full tour. Marc and Joanne .Merci pour la Belle experience!
  • We loved our visit here. From the Castle to the new building next door, Road 13 was our favorite stop on our visit to the Okanagan. I have to take a moment to give a shout out to the staff in the new building: they are some of the most entertaining people that we have ever spent time with. Unpretentious, knowledgeable and kind, with incredible insight into the process of making wine. Even the owners and their son made an appearance! Truly a family run, hands-on winery. The care and attention to detail are readily apparent, making this the number one stop the we made on our vacation. Kudos and congratulations! -Jack Mason - Level 3 WSET
  • Had high expectations of Road 13 from their beautiful location and high reviews. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the customer service their staff delivered. The moment I entered the winery I felt judged and neglected. Road 13 gave off an elitist vibe that made me feel unwelcome from the start. The staff did not seem to have any passion or knowledge about their winery. Instead they were just rude, aggressive, and unfriendly. Ultimately the terrible customer service ruined the experience of Road 13 regardless of how good the wine may be. I would recommend giving this one a miss and moving on to one of the many fantastic wineries in the Okanagan, where you can be treated with love, respect, and kindness.
  • Love Road 13 winery! It is a "must stop" every time I am visiting the Okanagan. The servers are friendly and knowledgable, on top of fantastic wine. Their Summer wine dinners, if you can get a reservation, have never disappointed!
  • Love this winery! We travel to the Okanagan every year (from Ontario) & we make sure that we always make it up to the Castle. Friendly, knowledgeable staff & a warm welcoming feel. The many varieties are all beautifully crafted. My personal favourite is the Jackpot Petit Verdot. Can't go to Oliver without stopping here!!
