Burrowing Owl Estate Winery, Oliver

3.9
#2 of 43 in Things to do in Oliver
Treat yourself to first-class food and wine at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery. Guided tours lead you through the whole winemaking process, from grapes to oak barrels. After seeing the facility, head up to the tasting room to try a few wines and enjoy the view overlooking the valley. The winery has a big reputation, and may seem a tad busier and less intimate than some of the smaller, family-owned operations in the vicinity; try to avoid weekends if you don't like crowds. With our online itinerary creator, Oliver attractions like Burrowing Owl Estate Winery can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

Amazing service, amazing food, amazing wine. What else can be said. A beautiful spot to drink wine and eat charcuterie. One of the top three places to enjoy wine and eat in the South Okanagan.  more »

Beautiful winery, decent wines. I don't think they blew my mind, but they were really good for a wine which is being a wine.. nothing overly special about it except that it is a well-made bottle of a standard wine. The Merlot was enjoyable as well as the dessert wine - Coruja. Wines here are pricy though for what you are buying. The tasting fee to taste the whole selection is $6, and it all goes to the burrowing owl conservation effort which is really nice!

Our first visit to a winery. Absolutely beautiful setting and restaurant. We ate inside snd still had views of the vineyard. Staff were fabulous and the food delicious. Very accommodating to our fussy eater who devoured his food.

Decent portions. I ordered the beef which was overcooked however the Duck confit was good. Overall Service was great and welcoming considering we had two kids with us.

Love the wines here, they are very hard to come by in vancouver so it's a treat to get a few bottles when in the area. Didn't know they made a white and it was quite nice. We made a lunch visit to the restaurant there. Spectacular views and although the order got a little messed up, we certainly didn't mind the wait on the beautiful patio. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Had a burger on a pretzel bun which was cooked to perfection with a bacon jelly on it and a nice board of charcuterie- the round things are apples soaked in honey and cinnamon (yum) and all the bread was freshly baked and still warm. I'd have no problem going back on every visit to the okanagan!

A lovely place to stay and dine, the wine and food are wonderful and the staff top notch. And a quaint and quiet guest house and beautiful pool - A definite 5 star spot .
