  • The mountains not the greatest compared to the other local ones; however, it offers great bang for buck. The runs are sorry so you don't really get tired. The only real downside is they have just two lists so line ups can be long. It is a good beginner mountain as it has some decent small greens. Watch out for flat parts on other runs especially if you board.Plus it isn't as busy as the larger mountains. If you looking for a quick escape that's closer to town you can't go wrong.
  • The course is excellent , services could be faster ! Bathrooms need a fresh up more frequently and location is very accessible
  • All sorts of backcountry opportunities here at all times of year. Personally snowshoeing is a favourite offering everything from a quick 30min return trip to Dinky peak to the full day pump peak, 2nd peak or 3rd peak options with no shortage of alternate routes along the way. It's gotten significantly more usage in the last 5yrs so completely safe with plenty of people on the trails even on the weekdays. Pack a lunch and enjoy creation. On a good day you'll have great views from dog mountain and incredible views from any of the 3 mount Seymour peaks. My personal favourite is 2nd peak though. And definitely snowshoeing. Make sure you bring portable sleds to slide down!
  • This is a provincial park, therefore available for public access. We were de facto denies the access to the park by park official’s decision to segregate one of the two lanes that provide access to the park to make it acceasible only to people who have purchases tickets. As a result, the line reserved for ticket holders had 4-5 cars in a half an hour period and the line with the other cars had a two hour wait period. If you planned to go skiing or snowshoeing around noon on a Sunday, two hours of wait to get into the park would mean that you only have two hours of daylight time to enjoy the activity. God help you if you chose to run errands in the morning and went to the mountain around two in the afternoon. The line wait time would leave you no time to enjoy the activity you planned. This practice goes against the main purpose of the public parks. We already pay for the maintenance of the park and requiremen to pay for classes to be able to access the park contradicts the mandate of public parks.
  • Great, local mountain for summer hikes, winter snowshoeing, skiing, and lunch!
