  • I've been to Lynn Canyon on several visits but this was my first visit to the ecology center. What a treat! The wee ones enjoyed the hands on aspect of the exhibit and there was a lot to learn  more »
  • I am sure there are school classes here frequently during the year. What a great place for children to learn about all things nature. The area is divided into "rooms" and each section is packed with v...  more »
  • I found the centre very informative about the flaura, animal life and the eco-system there. It was nice surprise to find this spot on the way to the Lynn Canyon overbridge which is where I was headed.  more »

  • Very nice place. Provides a lot of important information about nature and earth in a fun and interesting way. I saw not only kids but even adults having fun answering quizzes and pressing the buttons for information. I also loved all the miniature models or the scale models. They are very well made and looks so real.
  • A very nice place, great for learning a bit mire about nature. They really try to make everything attractive for kids bit we loved to read the info too (family of four with two teens). The lady was friendly. The shop has some interesting native pieces of jewelry. I would anyway recommand the place for the local nature lesson it gives.
  • The suspension bridge at Lynn Canyon state park is a must visit spot, truly Canada’s best kept secret. It’s free entrance as compared to capilano suspension bridge. On top of it, parking is free too. The ecology center has a gift shop and a lot of models and info booths specially good for kids education and entertainment. There are couple of trails which can be easily covered while enjoying the nature around you.
  • Unbelievable experience Beauty breath teeny King sites. Very clean very well maintained and peaceful. If you're coming to Vancouver this is a must-see. There is lots of parking lots of paths the walk and a suspension bridge that's mine blowing.
  • Very nice ecological center with a lot of information about the logging and the nature. Free entrance but donations are encouraged. Nearby you can find a coffee and a suspension bridge! Staff is very friendly

Where to stay in North Vancouver

Often overshadowed by its larger and more famous southern neighbor, North Vancouver offers relatively little by way of accommodations. Your best bet is to look towards the shore, along Esplanade Avenue and the streets directly behind, where you'll find a few hotels offering views over the pier. Stay west of the center, along Capilano Road, for easy access to the Capilano River and surrounding parks. You can also consider staying in Vancouver proper and take public transport across the harbor.
