I loved the fact that the market is at the waterfront! While there isn't a long seawall as in Vanc, I had a short run along the waterfront near the Lonsdale Quay. The market is small, but I enjoyed wa...  more »

Breathtaking views and plenty of sights to take in. Sit, relax and watch tourists and locals alike enjoy the water, wildlife, sunsets and views of downtown across Burrard's inlet.  more »

Place is small, in 30 minutes you can visit all the "shops" from space! The main ones are restaurants offering all kinds of food. We ate at a Japanese delicious and cheap! Wild salmon! Sentamos.em.uma table of the seafront.

We love visiting Lonsdale for the fresh sea air and stunning views. There are many unique shops and places to eat. Sometimes there's live entertainment and outdoor markets. It's a nice place to go rain or shine.

I guess you'd say this is a typical Vancouver market, and the type of food and products on offer reflect the people and culture of Vancouver. Lots of delicious foods, as well as craft-made products and services. The best part about this market though is the views provided of Vancouver from the north side of Burrard Inlet.

Sharky's has the most amazing lunch. The rest of the Quay stores seem to be going pout of business. Its still amazing but the grocery market still hasn't returned which was a big part. I think they should move all the restaurants to the top and make the stores at the bottom that way there would be more better flow. Most stores on top aren't even noticeable.

Hadn't been in a while and thought we would stop in to pick up some groceries so that we could go bbq. Noticed there are no more fresh produce places in the Market. It felt like a ghost town. Wasn't very impressed. The only good thing was the little brewery in the corner of the market. Sad to see how lacking the market is these days.

Where to stay in North Vancouver

Often overshadowed by its larger and more famous southern neighbor, North Vancouver offers relatively little by way of accommodations. Your best bet is to look towards the shore, along Esplanade Avenue and the streets directly behind, where you'll find a few hotels offering views over the pier. Stay west of the center, along Capilano Road, for easy access to the Capilano River and surrounding parks. You can also consider staying in Vancouver proper and take public transport across the harbor.
