  • A short but lovely little walk around the Capilano river with some nice views of the dam. Lots of films and TV series have been filmed in the area.  more »
  • You have to be pretty fit for this experience, but it's well worth a visit. It really is the "forest" experience, with some very large trees and waterways. Make sure to wear good walking/hiking shoes ...  more »
  • Not far from downtown Vancouver, a quick drive across the Lions Gate Bridge, we arrived at the trail that takes you through the beautiful forest of Douglas Firs along the Capilano River. From the park...  more »

  • What a great park! I wish I had more time exploring it. Basically it's a beautiful and wild forest with many trails to discover. One of them will lead you to the huge dam on Capilano Lake. I guess most of the tourists don't stop there because they're more interested in Capilano Suspension Bridge or Grouse Mountain located near by. But next time get off the main road and check out this place. You won't regret!
  • It's a beautiful place to commune with nature. I went with a tour and had plenty of time to move at my own pace. Walking through the Cliff Walk is just as neat as crossing the bridge. The suspension bridge did swing more than I expected, but it wasn't traumatic. You can do it!
  • Such a great place. In the mountains. The sound of the water crashing down the spillway. Awesome. Great trails near by. Take a walk to the salmon hatchery. Well worth the visit.
  • This is a great place for some hiking trails. I don't recommend this area for anyone with disabilities, as there are quite a few large hill climbs. But, the Capilano Dam is right by the parking and has a stunning view of BC's iconic Lions.
  • Awesome time there, really great day trip idea, and some cool history. However, the price is outrageous. Over 30$ to go see a bridge...I mean...sure. they make it very kid friendly though, and the Christmas theme is on point. If you're a photographer, or just someone looking for a good Instagram post, Capilano suspension bridge is a must visit. The staff is awesome, friendly and cooperative. Be prepared for a high concentration of people in smaller areas. But go expecting a good time. 👌
