4.5/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web
Let your palate guide you at the ivy-covered church that houses Silversmith Brewing Company. In 2011, the founders sought out a rustic, 1890s church to house their craft brewery. The church brims with character, from exposed brick walls to a reclaimed barn wood bar. Under the same roof you'll find the brewery and beer hall, as well as knowledgeable guides to lead you through both. Sample the flagship black lager with sultry notes of chocolate and coffee while still light and crisp. A British pale ale, German wheat beer, fruity pale ale, and Irish oyster stout also fill the roster. • This was our second stop on a winery-craft brewery tour. The atmosphere in a former church is interesting and quite unique. We were served 4 beers, 6 oz each, along with a charcouterie board that was ...  read more »
  • We stopped in Thanksgiving Monday in the afteroon.....a popular place. Loved the atmosphere. Enjoyed a few beers and excellent seafood chowder.
  • We just loved this little place, the decor is so nice, the wood and brick interior is so old world charming. We tried their dark lager and it was delicious, and I'm not a beer drinker per se. We didn'...  read more »
  • The only thing I'd add is more food choices, but the place is great. Good beer, good food, nice atmosphere.
  • Always a favourite to get out of wine country for a bit and into a quality beer joint. I always like the Bavarian Breakfast beer which is just the right balance of flavour and light-ness to set me right. I'm sure they have great food as well. My wife loves the black ale!
  • Only bought beer to go, so unaware of the foods characteristics. Decent price for decent beer. Looked like a nice atmosphere in the restaurant/bar area. Cant remember what beer I bought, I recall it was a decent price/taste.
  • Not a very good experience. We came for Sunday brunch. It started when they told us it would take a while to get our food because they were busy and they were right - it took an hour to get our food after ordering it. I ordered my eggs hard, and after the order was taken the waitress came back and said because they were so busy, the chef could not handle any special requests - so they could not flip my eggs over to make them hard. Shortly after that, the same waitress opened the door near where we were sitting. When we asked if they could close the door because we were freezing, we were told no they could not - it was too hot in the kitchen so they could not close the door. I have never been to a place where the needs of the chef take presedence over the needs of the customer, but if you are looking for that experience, this is the place!
  • Always love the flight options...great variety. Would like more food on the menu but appreciate the need to keep it short. The oysters from Tide & Vine were fresh and delicious.
