Trip Planner:   Canada  /  Ontario  /  Niagara Falls  /  Skylon Tower

Skylon Tower, Niagara Falls

A meal with a view awaits at Skylon Tower, featuring an observation deck and a revolving restaurant overlooking Niagara Falls. Located on the Canadian side of the falls, the 160 m (520 ft) tower features three external elevators that can whisk you to the top in just under a minute. The views from the outdoor and indoor decks alone merit a visit, though most tourists also choose to round-off their experience with a hearty meal at the onsite restaurant. The base of the tower contains several gift shops and an amusement arcade, making this attraction a good shopping/entertainment spot for families with kids. • Amazing dining experience at incredible tower. Breathtaking views of gorgeous nature wonder Canadian and American falls that could be seen from the restaurants. Splendid! Very pleasant and enjoyable dining while restaurant is spinning. Excellent, flavourful food, mouthwatering desserts that look like artwork. Friendly service, spectacular views, beautiful time way up in the sky while enjoying great meal. Nice atmosphere and ambiance, very pleasant and memorable.
  • The food at the summit buffet is just like that of any other buffet, only the view makes it special (and very pricey, $30 per person plus other fees & tips) but only if you’re lucky to sit at the window seats. I wasn't, and I had to wait 15 min because they lost my reservation. Dessert was pretty good; I mostly ate that. Elevator ride gives you a good view of the falls. The observatory has a wired fence so you can stick your camera out and get higher. Before you go on the elevator you take a few pictures which you can buy for ~$30.
  • I really enjoyed my experience here. The view was amazing, you can clearly see both the American and Canadian falls. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient we received bread, butter and water upon arrival and quickly were waited on to receive our drinks. The staff also took pictures of my wife and I for us on our phones and we're very friendly. My wife ate the salmon and it came with a rice pilaf and tomato and she enjoyed it very much. I had the tortellini Alfredo and found it lacking flavor and it was slightly mushy. There is a small limited menu and you cannot choose your own sides. Overall we had a very good experience and would go again.
  • Fun aerial views. Great photo op. Restaurant. Tourist attraction. Great for meeting random people. Enough things for kids too.
  • Went for the view. It was nice. The place looks a bit beat up though... Why do all the elevators have big tool boxes in them? They force you to get a picture taken on a green screen. I did not appreciate their assertiveness.
