Nightmares Fear Factory, Niagara Falls

3.7
#5 of 8 in Theme Parks in Niagara Falls
Stay calm and take it one step at a time to make it to the end of Nightmares Fear Factory, a haunted house attraction. Housed in what was allegedly once a coffin factory, where the owner was killed by a stack of coffins falling on him, the experience takes around 20 minutes from beginning to end. Actors in costume scare you as you walk through the house, jumping out and screaming, or speaking in creepy voices. You are given a safety word at the start, but if you use it and get taken out, you will be added to the "chicken list" and have to leave down the "chicken line," a pathway of public humiliation. Children under 6, pregnant women, wheelchair users, and those with a heart condition cannot enter the haunted house. Nightmares Fear Factory is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Niagara Falls Edition.

  • So my friends and I (14, 14, and 16) went in together. Once we reached the actual doors, the 16-year old quit. My friend and I navigated through the maze-like area, getting lost quite a bit and feelin...  more »
  • Wow... It was just a great and unique experience. Once paid, there is no refund. But who want to go back already? This is only with the code word 'Nightmare'. I would like to tell you not too much, but not alone and look forward to the photos (CAD 8)! Have fun!

  • The main fear factor of this house is that it’s in near total darkness. You walk narrow hallways following small red lights. The floors are uneven and have ramps. It requires you to take small steps. ...  more »

  • The staff selling tickets were rather standoffish and quick to dismiss our questions, yes I figured they get people asking the same things constantly but it still felt a bit unfair considering this was all entirely new to us. However, the walk through itself was a fantastic mix of fear and banter; had lots and lots of fun! Also felt ticket value and the price of photos afterwards were great value!
  • Best haunted house ever!!!!! You're completely in the dark with only a red dot to lead you along your way! If you're brave enough to conquer the darkness, then DO IT!
  • While we didn't get scared to the point of screaming like most of the other groups, we did enjoy the experience. Be aware that there can be a long wait time to enter as the team spreads groups out (for good reason!).
  • Ok so I went in knowing some of the information I read in the reviews and Thor website it was stated on their website that the adventure lasts 15 minutes,I walked extremely slow and it only lasted like 5 or 6 minutes for a price of $13 ,the experience itself was fun for the most part but I would say it's dangerous because you just follow the red light to lead you and it's pitch black in the room and you don't go just forward instead you take too many turns and due to the dark you are most likely to hit the wall an maybe get hurt as well as the little bridge part I almouset fell down and who knows what was under that.Oh and it's called the scariest haunted house but tbh it wasent scary ,this place is meant to save adults but I don't think anyone over the age of 10 would get scared in there ,I do not believe that 130k people couldn't finish that maze ,I think they just made up that number. Also at some points it will be harder to breathe due to the scaring affects so don't go in if pregnant or have lung\heart problems.Staff there have no spooky spirit they talk to you in a bored tone like they don't care at all about your experience.I have a lot more to say but if u want go experience it for yourself but make sure to have fun and use the free coupons if have any 😂
  • Amazing.. fun.. crazy. Loved it. Loved the fact it was dark and mysterious. But u were not alone...lol

Where to stay in Niagara Falls

The city bordering Canada's most famous attraction offers a wide range of accommodations, with competition keeping prices surprisingly low. You'll pay a premium for views of the falls, with most of the prime real estate right by the star attraction controlled by major international hotel chains. Most sit along Niagara Parkway, which fronts the river. If you're looking for something nearby but still affordable, check the options along Victoria Avenue--you won't have a view of the falls, but you'll be just minutes from the spectacular attraction.
