If you are thinking of trying the Hornblower boat into the falls, try this first and you won't want to do the boat. You can get within a few feet and you can really feel the power. Hooded raincoats ar...  more »

Loved the perspective of the falls from underneath. The self guided tour provides historic information along the way. There is plenty of room but those that are claustrophobic may not be comfortable.  more »

We took a combo tour, which included a walk behind the falls. They provided slickers so we wouldn't get soaked. It was worthwhile.  more »

At roughly $16 US/person, this attraction is definitely a must see and do! Price is slightly higher than my girlfriend and I feel it should be but nonetheless, had a great time. Forced to stand in a square on the way to the tunnels in order to have your picture taken and then hit up to buy the picture at the end was an annoyance. Then, issued rain jackets, get on the elevator, then we were in the tunnels. All employees we met along the way were very friendly and we were told that we could take as long as we wanted while in the tunnels and out on the observation platform. Went to the platform first and talk about a mist! Everyone seemed to enjoy it, even though it was a pretty cool and overcast day, it was truly amazing to be standing THAT CLOSE to the edge of the falling water!! After many pictures, we headed to the other tunnel that let to the 2 openings behind the falls. Both were gated back from the water a good distance but water still came splashing it from time to time. It was quite noisy but very exciting. On the way, there are big signs with pictures and much information about the history and erosion of that area of the falls. This was something I had wanted to do for over 30 years, since my first time visiting the falls and I was glad I finally got to do it!

This is a great attraction at Niagara Falls especially in the summertime when you're able to go out further and really be in an area behind the falls. I went in the winter time so they barricaded off the front area because it was frozen and you could've gotten hurt but nonetheless we were still able to see the area behind the falls and the fury of the falls. It was a nice experience to go in the tunnels and really experience the magnitude and feeling of the water rushing down on top of you. They don't give you any jackets because you're not going further out but I would think you may get wet here.

This place is cool but still ehh. So many better things to see at Niagara Falls. If you're here, why not go though. The tunnels are small and there tends to be a lot of people. You go to 2 opening with water flushing down. Kind of a bore. The part where you actually get wet is straight down the main hall and down the steps. The views there are spectacular!

To be behind de stream of Great Niagara Fall is an unforgettable experience. The water fall is so powerful that it shakes all the concrete construction of the tunnel making it vibrate and you feel it with all your body. Niagara is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. I wish I could return one day.

Nice experience of the falls ,in a view that you will get nowhere else in Niagara. Elevator takes you behind the falls, you walk some tunnels which run under the falls and then exit to outposts below the falls. You will see people near the bottom of the falls on wooden stairwells, this is the Journey Behind the Falls and where you will be if you do the experience. Pretty neat for one time.

Where to stay in Niagara Falls

The city bordering Canada's most famous attraction offers a wide range of accommodations, with competition keeping prices surprisingly low. You'll pay a premium for views of the falls, with most of the prime real estate right by the star attraction controlled by major international hotel chains. Most sit along Niagara Parkway, which fronts the river. If you're looking for something nearby but still affordable, check the options along Victoria Avenue--you won't have a view of the falls, but you'll be just minutes from the spectacular attraction.
