Enter the world of colorful insects at Butterfly Conservatory, located just minutes from the world-famous waterfalls. Sheltering over 2,000 butterflies that fly freely through the lush vegetation, this modern insect zoo features a climate-controlled greenhouse, 200-seat theater, and a large gift shop. Most of the conservatory's butterflies come from farms in El Salvador, Costa Rica, Australia, and the Philippines. Special nets stretched along the conservatory's glass dome keep the fragile creatures from entangling and dying of hypothermia. Boost your chances that butterflies land on you by wearing brightly colored clothing, moving slowly, and dabbing some perfume just before entering. Pure magic! I can't wait to go back. My daughter loved it so much. It was very humid so dress lightly. Took us about half an hour to go through it but without a toddler we would have spent hours in there! The gardens and areas around the conservatory were fun to explore too. I can't wait to go back when everything is in bloom!

A small space but is full of colorful butterflies hovering all over. Great learning experience for children. They have created a perfect environment full of greenery, flowers & running water for the butterflies. You might get a chance to click pic With a butterfly on your hand if you are lucky enough. There is no technique to attract them, but couple of things you can do is apply some sweet syrup like orange juice on Ur hand & keep hand steady in one place..

More butterflies than I have ever seen, in many varieties! Better than two other butterfly conservatories I have visited. Warmer than I expected inside - light clothes, with bright colors. Displays were very well done. Very well maintained for both butterflies and visitors. Take your camera.

The conservatory is beautiful. The butterflies are active. Getting to see so many different species is wonderful. The scavenger hunt for them is sweet. I’d love if the finding all of them meant the child earned a small souvenir. It was VERY crowded when we were there. Most people were masked, but some were not. Overall it was a beautiful place and the staff were helpful and polite. Worth the ticket price for sure.

So amazing. It's like stepping into a magical world. The blue butterflies are my favourite. They look like fairies. My 11 year old son loved it too. We also got to see butterflies emerging from their cocoons.
