  • Pleasant walkways through the gardens. Butterfly house worth a visit. May have been the time of year (early October) - didn't feel particularly wowed - but another nice attraction worth visiting.  more »
  • I could have spent days here at this park/gardens. So perfectly laid out and welcoming and a large variety of trees and shrubs and flowers.  more »
  • We took a drive down river road after doing the white water walk and were glad we did. Parking is $5 but the gardens are free and not far away....maybe 5 min drive. It's nice to take a leisurely calm ...  more »

  • Lovely botanical gardens just 10 minutes from the falls. Almost 100 acres of gardens and woods. Come through the different seasons to see rhododendrons, azaleas, bulbs and roses (over 2,400 roses). They also offer horse-drawn carriage rides in the summer. And best of all it's free (but parking nearby is $5). A lovely way to spend an afternoon.
  • What a beautiful place to spend the afternoon very peaceful. Parking is 5.00 which I don't think is to bad considering the garden is free. Please note does not include butterfly conservatory which does have an entrance fee.
  • Nice and peaceful walk. The garden is clean and properly maintained. There isn't anything spectacular to see here, but it is a nice way place to hang out and chill.
  • The gardens are just at started to be planted. Gardens are very nice. I took some nice photos.
  • Beautiful area to visit on a summer's day. Free to visit if you are just interested in the garden and arboretum.

Where to stay in Niagara Falls

The city bordering Canada's most famous attraction offers a wide range of accommodations, with competition keeping prices surprisingly low. You'll pay a premium for views of the falls, with most of the prime real estate right by the star attraction controlled by major international hotel chains. Most sit along Niagara Parkway, which fronts the river. If you're looking for something nearby but still affordable, check the options along Victoria Avenue--you won't have a view of the falls, but you'll be just minutes from the spectacular attraction.
