4.2/5 based on 2,200+ reviews on the web
At Bird Kingdom, the biggest indoor free-flying aviary in the world, you can watch the exotic colorful birds feed and play in a multi-level rainforest. Start your journey by travelling back in time at a mysterious old museum, then head to the explorer's base camp and interact with flamboyant parrots, red herons, toucans, and other exotic birds. Take in the panoramic views of the gorge while the smallest of the winged creatures flap their wings above. The night jungle houses owls, bats, and various reptiles, including turtles and frogs. The kids will love digging for treasure at the children's archaeology section. Be sure to check out the original hand-carved teak wood structure from 1875, which is the only Javanese house in North America. The cafe offers snacks. • We had never heard of the Bird Kingdom before, but we walked in and it wound up being one of our very favorite experiences at the Falls. We enjoyed the workers chatting with the parrots and showing us...  read more »
  • I wouldn't join it if not for the kids. Beautiful place, exotic birds, not a must see at Niagara Falls but good enough to visit.
  • This is primarily a sanctuary for birds and reptiles that have been surrendered. They do not breed or sell the birds! There is a back story of an original Niagra Falls old time museum, but we were the...  read more »
  • Nothing to exciting. And they ask you if you want to hold a parrot and don't let you take a picture of yourself. Instead they try to sell it to you. I imagine it depends on the weather but when I was there it was very humid.
  • Surprisingly engaging, Bird Kingdom is a great attraction. The open air aviaries are full of interesting birds, the bats and other nocturnals are fun to watch, and the birds that are allowed to sit on your arm are show-offs. If you are there at the right time to feed the lorikeets, it's well worth the extra $2. Here's a tip: if you have photos taken with the birds they'll try to sell you physical copies for $10 each, but if you ask there's a digital option that they'll email you for $2-3 per photo.
  • First time in an aviary.... was not disappointed... absolutely amazing.... beautiful place near the falls... best place to go for bird lovers.
  • We visited Bird Kingdom in the late morning. Admission prices were about $35 for two adults. There are several levels of free flying birds. Starting at the top you have the small birds. You then work your way through the building seeing reptiles, skunks & bats. The open l, multilevel aviary is absolutely stunning. The birds are well taken care of, happy and friendly. This was my favorite attraction we visited in Niagara
  • Most awesome thing I've ever done with animals. Very hands on and informational. Big place and lots of cool birds.
