  • Close to the highway. Only $3.90 per adult. Nice walk around the fort structures and a very pretty view. Period costumes, toy weapons and activities for kids. Parks Canada staff very good.
  • Excellent and detailed telling of the Acadia deportation story. Something for all the family here, including period costumes and imitation wepons for the kids.
  • This ended up being a great place to stop even for our kids (4&8) who are not history buffs like me. The views are stunning, the wind is refreshingly brisk, there's endless green space to run around. ...  more »

  • Went with my family and it was a pretty nice small museum and we got to walk around outside all around the fort too. The place can get a bit windy with all the open areas around. Bring a coat. Place is open during the summer too. Alot of price still go at all hours of the day to play Pokemon go game there. Only advise I can give them is it would be nice to have a light post in the parkinglot. That's it :)
  • Was interested in checking out the Fort as we have been past many times. Before going looked into the history and significance of Fort Cumberland and how it changed hands etc. I was quite surprised at how when we got there , that there was almost none of the later history of the fort. Everything was focused on its early history but almost NOTHING at all on the reasons leading up to the deportation or of the Fort afterwards. Seems to scream of revisionist history. Not sure for the reasons behind this. I would suggest people investigate the history of this place before visiting to really understand it better.
  • If you are into Pokémon Go, this is the place to go. When we went today, there were between 4 and 8 lures active at any given time. We caught a lot of great Pokémon. The Fort is also rich in history. The kids loved playing on the cannons and exploring the buildings and tunnels. And the views are spectacular. We had had a fantastic time at Fort Beausejour!
  • A beautiful location. You can walk around some of the remains of this five sided fort. There is a small museum with friendly staff. Work a shot stop coming or going to and from Nova Scotia-New Brunswick. Fort Beausejour played an important role in conflict between the English and French in North America, as well in the sad story invite expulsion of the Acadians b
  • Sweet spot. Very important piece of our NB History and great spot for Pokémon. Just wish people would pick up their garbage and be respectful while visiting (Pokémon or otherwise) !!!
