  • Great place to visit if you are interested in history or aviation. Entrance is by donation. They have amazing displays. Quite a few of the aircraft are not roped off, so you can really see more than in most museums. Also, there are some displays where you can actually sit in the the pilot’s seat and get a photo opportunity. Well worth stopping.
  • Wonderful air museum with lots pictures of air force airports and information and statistics for them. Pleasant staff and more than willing to demonstrate and explain different components of aircraft memorabilia On special occasions they even start the 4 engine d Lancaster bomber. Wow, the noise and the wind off that air plane.
  • It's a must see. Freedom isn't free. Cool piece of history.
  • Nanton is such a cool little town to be home to such an incredible museum! Who could imagine there would be such an important collection of military aircraft, and such moving tributes to Canadian History here in rural Alberta? The museum's collection is managed an incredibly passionate group of volunteers, and everyone of them has a fascinating story to tell. If you can, try to make it out on a day when they are doing an engine run - hearing the deafening roar of the 4 engines running on their restored Lancaster Bomber is something you have to feel to believe. so powerful! I love this place!
  • A very important part of Alberta's history that not near enough people know about.
