  • Loved the place. I really enjoyed my visit and all the characters were so interesting, friendly and passionate about what they do. I learnt a lot in my visit and enjoyed it very much. Was lovely chatting to everyone as a walked around. Amazing to watch the baking and cheese making. I had lunch at the hotel and the smell of the food was amazing from the moment I walked in. Really great value for money. Certainly worth a visit. So glad I went there. Highly recommend visiting here.
  • Had a wonderful time with the family at Upper Canada Village. Lots to explore and transport yourself back to life in the 1800's. Interpreters were fantastic and very knowledgeable. you can take a boat ride to the far end of the property and then walk back as you explore all the village has to offer. There is a activity room where children can dress up in period clothing, play games and do a craft. Fresh bread is baked twice daily, 11 and 2 (it sells out fast). The train ride is an additional fee to the entrance ticket but worth adding on especially if you have children. I was very impressed that the train ride had a wheelchair accessible car at the front.
  • So. so interesting showing life in the 1860's. A key part of the experience is the authentic buildings that make up the village, the activities that take place throughout the site, and the historic interpreters that bring history to life. (Taken from the website!) Upper Canada Village is a great stop for kids and adults!! So many exhibits to see and learn from. A must see if in the area!!
  • We went here a day before NYE and Alight at Night was a great experience. The whole place is beautifully lit up and it's about an hour long walk as you go from structure to structure. There is a Beaver Tails outlet which was crowded the whole time. At the exit there is a gift/ souvenir shop. All in all a good winter's night walk amidst twinkling lights!
  • I loved my experience. Beautiful lights. You can tell alot of work was put into it. The washrooms were clean and the line up acceptable. Although I don't have children, I would think this place makes for a great family outing.
