The Montreal Tower / La Tour de Montreal, Montreal

3.1
Head to the top of the tallest inclined tower in the world, The Montreal Tower / La Tour de Montreal. At 165 m (541 ft), the tower leans over Montreal's Olympic stadium at a dramatic 45-degree angle. Opened in 1976, both the stadium and tower represent the work of French architect Roger Taillibert. Take a glass funicular ride to the top of the tower, the only such ride that climbs a curved structure. Along the way, enjoy a panoramic view of the city skyline, which only gets better from the observatory at the top. • You go up in an elevator to 165m in height and slope that reaches 45 degrees. Beautiful piece of engineering that led to the world record. This architectural design was made for the 1976 Olympiad. The view from above is nice, maybe the best in the city. If you are short on time, you can ignore. For those visiting first the Botanical Garden is very difficult to find the entrance to the attraction.

  • He absolutely had to make this visit in Montreal, my last time I visit the Biodôme, (currently closed for work) I was not disappointed the travel, however I expect more thrills, from the high that rest 1 building. so activity which should be in the tiny, and this time of year there is not a lot of people, we were as privileged, and 1 at the top of this tower, the show is magnificent views and you can discover the beauty of this city . I do not regret. Tip, the funicular ds choose the cockpit, and the level below, (vice & versa) small sensations up and down.

  • We believe that it is worth visiting the Tower, by the beautiful view of the city. The tower is very close to Saputo Stadium, the Planetarium and the Biodôme. However, we believe that the cost for uploading is a bit high, since being up will not be too long, only to see the city. In addition, when we were and wanted to see a little more of the place, there was no one who gave us information. But it is a nice place.

  • It may be scary for little kids to go up, but it is certainly fun.
  • As is the case will all towers, it looked like it was a lot higher on the ground than it actually was. The top still has some fantastic views of Greater Montréal (when it's not overcast or raining that is). There's also a little gift shop. You cannot enter or leave whenever you like. You must wait until staff calls up the one elevator they have for the tower. Don't come here if you're tight on time.
  • If you're a fan of the Olympics and its history, this is worth checking out. You'll get a good view of the area from far above. While it's a little expensive (hence the 4 stars) the kids will enjoy the view and so will you.
  • Too expensive for a meagre and rather rundown experience. Not even a bar upstairs only a gift shop. Dirty windows, hardly any background information and no possibility to go outside. Visiting the rest of the stadium is another 20$. Not worth it. View is nice but only in the lift itself.
  • Expensive for the ticket, no out door on top
