The Montreal Tower / La Tour de Montreal, Montreal
(2.5/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
Head to the top of the tallest inclined tower in the world, The Montreal Tower / La Tour de Montreal. At 165 m (541 ft), the tower leans over Montreal's Olympic stadium at a dramatic 45-degree angle. Opened in 1976, both the stadium and tower represent the work of French architect Roger Taillibert. Take a glass funicular ride to the top of the tower, the only such ride that climbs a curved structure. Along the way, enjoy a panoramic view of the city skyline, which only gets better from the observatory at the top. Take a look at our Montreal tourist route planner to schedule your visit to The Montreal Tower / La Tour de Montreal and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Last time I went was 27 years ago with out of town guests. This time, due to a function in the tower. As others commented, $23.50 each is steep. What was not said was that it is another $18.00 to park...  more »
  • This tower is part of the Olympic Stadium. It is 165 metres high and has a 45 degree angle. It has been certified for the highest Tower tilted to the world. The upper part of the tower is made of steel and represents a mass of 8,000 tons which is attached to a concrete infrastructure that falls below the ground level and has a mass of 145 000 tons. It is mounted at the top by a funicular vitreous in two minutes. Since the Observatory there views of several kilometres of Montreal tour

  • It is a great landmark and in a clear day, the view is amazing. However, the CAN$ 23,25 per person is too much for what it is. Just can't understand why they need to keep it so expensive.
