  • This is a great museum especially if you are interested in the history of Ile St. Hélène (it is an island where the museum is located) and Montreal. You are led through 2 floors allowing the visitor t...  more »
  • We were able to go as part of our Fete des Neiges ticket, and this was a nice little addition. They have some cool effects to the exhibits, and we liked the VR thing at the end of the Paris exhibit. I...  more »
  • We were drawn to this museum for the military history aspect and there is much more to it as well. The exhibits are top notch - very impressive and worth the trip. We LOVED the newly added escape room...  more »

  • Interesting place, you can really admire a lot of beauty.
  • I was there in NoV 2018 for the exposition Paris en Vitrine, very well placed exposition, amazing distribution of the objects and explanation of Paris in 18th century, excellent use of technology and virtual reality, courteous staff, easy explanation on each item, self driven visit with a leaflet in French and English, try to booked/reserve your seats for the free film well in advanced for your visit, check in the website for the film availability. Best access to museum is by metro, especially in winter time.
  • Museum is really nice, with a big collection to see. They have a interesting short Virtual Reality experience for the City of Light (PARIS ON DISPLAY) exhibition. The system of looking for the objects descriptions is a little odd; you have to keep a kind of manual with you, though it has interesting information about the objects and about the history of the period that they where used or created.
  • History about old Paris, Montreal, free entrance for fete des neige pass holder
  • Nice museum off the beaten track. Located on beautiful Ile Saint Helen. The permanent exhibit on the history of Montreal is very interesting. Located in an old fort built by the English in the early 1800's, the place is filled with history. Beautiful views of downtown from the courtyard.
