  • I run in this park fairly regularly. There are a lot of walkers, bird watchers and some cyclists. I feel safe and feel a bit of the country living not too far from the city.  more »

  • Overall great, but have to pay for parking. Fun in winter and summer. Small beach there, very shallow water. Nice when it's hot. Wooden bridge is closed due to spring flood of 2017. What a shame. Will probably take ages to re-build. Great biking area in the summer too.
  • Best birding spot in Montreal. Great for marsh birds such as least bitterns. Currently (2017) the boardwalk is closed. Park is free but parking is $5.
  • I love the place. But this year maybe because of the flood the bridge was missing and the experiance was not complete. But stll very beautiful place.
  • Yet another park I recommend visiting. This place can easily compete with Cap Saint Jacques on a variety of levels. Clean, peaceful, and wonderful all year long.
  • Good place to launch your boat or kayak, free! Close to a nice fishing spot too.

Where to stay in Montreal

If beautiful architecture and views over the water appeal, stay in the historic neighborhood of Vieux Montreal (Old Montreal), where you'll be a stone's throw from the best attractions in the city. If modern convenience is more important to you, look for accommodations in the downtown neighborhood of Centre-Ville, or head a bit farther out to the artsy district of Plateau Mont-Royal. LGBTI visitors might want to consider staying in The Village, Montreal's famously progressive hub of gay and lesbian culture.
