  • We were so excited for our visit on Oct 2 and found the museum was 99% closed except for 2 rooms. Because of that it was free. I guess you get what you pay for. The ticket staff couldn't be bothered t...  read more »
  • The owner greeted us with a great generosity, so much so that it made our day. Very nice gallery with works for everyone, there was even some works that have left me a little puzzled. But explained us everything well and now we understand better the Visual arts.

  • The exhibition of Edmund Alleyn was terrific. Some of the other exhibits were not really to my taste but I like to see modern art because then I can decide what I like much more easily if I can make a...  read more »
  • Small museum. We stayed for less than an hour. We found about half of the work compelling(not bad) and the work was presented/staged well. There is a better and larger modern art collection at the Museum of Fine Arts.
  • I like to go to the MAC to be entertained. Most of their exhibits are of high quality; however, do your research because the museum splurges a lot of their budget on one to two amazing exhibits per year---go to see these without hesitation. Their permanent collection is small but has amazing pieces by Riopell and a few striking Quebecois works of 1950s minimalism/primitivism that I love.
  • A beautiful space, with hit-or-miss exhibits. Out of the multiple exhibits we explored I only really enjoyed two of them. Admission was $14 per person, which is satisfactory, but its worth a shot if you're into contemporary art. The Museum of Fine Arts provides a little more quality and value than this one, but I'm sure when MAC has a few good exhibits it's worth a couple hours.
  • Not a complete fan of contemporary art, but this exhibit was pretty decent, although a bit small for our liking.
  • a must if you like contemporary arts. very cool that they also have the friday nocturnes from time to time.. a night at the museum! very very nice.
