  • This is a nice place to see downtown Montreal. If you are taking the bus allot enough time better to walk from Forest Hill. Bus every 30 mins
  • On holiday in Canada in July 2016, we first picnic in the Park Beaver, then end the evening with a walk at night in Mount Royal... What an amazing view on the city of Montreal all lit up...! A place where people were walking with children and babies in strollers. There is a piano or a few artists improvised a few pieces of music... Someone was celebrating his birthday and has been flying in the sky balloons balloons... it was nice in the night... And we went back at the end of our stay, we wanted to see in day view... I prefer night

  • drive to the top. take time to view the city from the turnouts...Apparently very good birding. If you have time go for walks. THere is an adjacent very large cemetery for walking as well

  • From Mont Royal you will have a breathtaking view over Montreal (city, river...) - very enjoyable. Especially on a weekday morning when it is relatively quiet it is very nice. You can do some nice jogging in the vicinity but it is hard work coming all the way up from the city, therefore not so fit runners might want to start already at the mountain. There are small fountains with drinking water on a lot of places, very convenient if it is hot.
  • One of the best places to experience the relaxed side of Montreal. Parks span across the mountain offering great views, great walks, or just great places to hang out with friends.
  • Quite literally one of my favorite places to hang out and enjoy nature. Very lively on Sundays at the foot of the mountain by the statue. Also a great place to celebrate the growing cannabis culture.
  • Amazing view. Go up on a clear day and you can see for quite a ways. Very nice walk as well, nothing too strenuous.
  • Great place to be close to nature. A bit difficult to find parking but easy to go by bus (take the 11). Great views of the city from the two view points. And Beaver Lake is incredible.
